Farewell

Friends and WYWU founders, Colleen and Alyssa

One year and one month ago, we started When You Wake Up to bring more sunshine into the world. We hope that we’ve made your mornings a little more joyful and have opened your eyes to some of the beautiful art, music, food, and ideas that are out there.

This post is to say farewell. We have had a wonderful time working together and collecting things to share with you. Colleen will be refocusing her energy on her senior thesis in art history, and Alyssa will be spending more time creating music and art.

{Food} Beet, Arugula, and Goat Cheese Grilled Cheese

Beets, goat cheese, and greens are a favorite combination of mine. So I was excited to find this grilled cheese recipe via BS’in in the Kitchen. It’s got the sweet and salty combination with the crunch of grilled French bread. I hope to find a few beets still in season to try this recipe out before summer is over.
